Both compounds have small early-phase human pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies confirming growth hormone and IGF-1 release; the single randomized efficacy trial of ipamorelin did not meet its endpoints. No human efficacy trials identified for body composition, anti-aging or athletic performance, and no trials identified of the two used in combination.
